Although this is the fourth book in the Nikki Boyd series, Vanishing Point also makes a great stand-alone read, considering I haven't read any of the other books and had no issues keeping up. But, it is likely to make you want to get a hold of the other books and give them a read too!
While the dialogue seemed a bit too "by the book" at times, I still found myself being drawn into the story and sympathizing with the emotional and spiritual struggles of the main characters. Questioning where God is in the midst of pain and suffering, they each find themselves revisiting the past and wondering about the choices they've made and how God fits in to the equation.
This book is perfect for fans of crime scene shows or suspense novels, who could also use a potent reminder of God's master plan and how some things are worth waiting - and fighting - for. 4/5 stars.
